Neighborhood, 2020 Rosé 'Sunset'
Sustainably farmed Mourvédre, Syrah and Grenache grown on the Central Coast. We harvest these grapes early at lower pH levels resulting in a less sweet and more acidic harvest, specifically for making rosé. They were macerated pigeage (by foot!), and left to soak on their skins for half of the day before we pressed the juice. The juice went through a native, natural fermentation using only yeast alive in the air and on the grapes.
Clear-rose and pale in the glass, this rosé reflects flavors common in Provençal rosés. Summer melon, sliced strawberry, lychee and papaya with fragrant dried lavender and thyme, lemon skins and citrus oil. This rosé is approachable with a rounded mouthfeel that is perfectly lifted by its acidity.
