Neighborhood, 2020 Red Wine ‘Steak Frites’

Tired, after an afternoon of walking the streets of Paris, we walk into a brasserie hot and exhausted. Sweaty and hungry we can hardly focus our eyes on the menu-text but forcing letters into words, we make out ‘Steak Frites’ and each order our own… only to realize the red Bordeaux table wine is warm and tired and unrefreshing. Ahhh if only there was another option… BAM, BANG enters this wine. It’s rusty red and a little hazy. It’s refreshing but still complex and has the body to pair with flank steak and french fries! Cherry pie nose with watermelon and wild berries combining peppered earthiness, dates and hibiscus. This is an easy drinking wine!
