Introducing the 2022 vintage of "Loveland," a collaborative creation with Jermtown.
Wanting to make a red wine that was versatile for different occasions, from hanging out with friends to pairing with nice meals, Sangiovese seemed like an obvious choice. A trip up to the winery led us to taste more than 10 different barrels of Sangiovese, all from Deerfield Vineyard in the Willow Creek District of Paso Robles. We selected our two favorite barrels from the ten to create this blend.
Looking to brighten the wine a bit, we added a small, but significant amount of Sangiovese from the 2022 vintage that was fermented using the carbonic maceration technique. That component, juicy and crunchy, adds a lift and liveliness to the wine that perfectly complements its otherwise classic and sophisticated profile.
Best served slightly chilled.
