We picked the Pinot Noir Grapes for this wine on the chilly, early morning of September 21st, 2019, from Pali Vineyard in the Sta. Rita Hills AVA. The clusters were sorted and went through a spontaneous fermentation facilitated by only native yeast alive in the air and on the grapes. The grapes were punched down by hand multiple times daily during fermentation. No sulfur was added throughout the wine's elevage. Less than 20PPM was added prior to bottling. This Pinot Noir was barrel-aged for 6 months in entirely neutral French oak barrels.

"Huntington" is crafted from premium Pinot Noir grapes grown on our Pali Vineyard, located along the Hwy 246 corridor in the Gypsy Canyon neighborhood of the Sta, Rita Hills AVA. This wine, made from Clones 828, Pommard, 23, 777, 2A, 115 and 667, is carefully blended to express the unique flavors associated with Santa Barbara County Pinot Noir. True to the region, "Huntington's" flavors consist of soft red fruits, particularly strawberries and raspberries and a variety of baking spices, clove and cinnamon, along with such earthy components as black tea and mushrooms. This wine is fermented in small lots, barrel-aged in 20% new French oak for 10 months and then bottled in August 2019.

This wine is fermented in small lots, punched-down up to three times daily during fermentation, then barrel-aged in 30% new French oak for eight months. Bottled in July 2019.

Rancho La Vina Vineyard is nestled along the western edge of the Sta. Rita Hills appellation. The Vineyard is a part of a family-owned and operated ranch established in the 1860s and shares its home with cattle, walnuts, and various fruit trees. The wines benefit from the wind coming off the Pacific Ocean, making it the ideal cool climate for growing premium Pinot Noir grapes. Crafted from clones 115 and 777, hand-harvested, fermented in small lots and punched down by hand up to three times daily. Barrel-aged for 18 months using 50% new French oak barrels. Bottled May 2019.

This is the first release of our "Estate Reserve" Pinot Noir crafted from the best barrels and the best blocks on our estate vineyard, located on the northwestern side of the Sta. Rita Hills AVA in Santa Barbara County. This year's reserve wine is made from clones 777, 23, and 2A, and only six barrels were selected to produce a total of 150 cases of this wine. It was harvested and fermented in small lots, barrel-aged for 18 months in 100% new French Oak, and then bottled in July 2018.
