We’re excited to announce the release of our
2015 Pali Cuvee vintage!
Our cuvee wines use only the best Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes from select vineyards
blended together to create beautiful single varietal blends at affordable prices.
Read our tasting notes for each of these wines below and decide for yourself which wine you’d like to try!
2015 Charm Acers Chardonnay
Golden straw, brilliant clarity. Fresh and balanced, this Sonoma County Chardonnay offers aromas of fresh stone fruits – white peach, crème brulee, and sea salt – with floral notes of honeysuckle and jasmine. A fresh burst of acidity, followed with touches of toasty oak on the mid-palate and finishes clean with more tart acidity. Well-balanced with both minerality and a touch of new oak. Flavors of orange and lemon peel, green apples, baked peaches, brine, graham crackers and vanilla bean.
2015 Huntington Pinot Noir
Candied nose of sweet cherries, dark chocolate, cinnamon, ripe strawberries, maple syrup, boysenberries, toasted oak, dried thyme. Palate offers up bright red fruits, cherries and raspberries up front with earthy tones of wild mushrooms and black truffles. The mid-palate swells with rich acid and flavors of baking spices (clove, mace, cardamom). Long, elegant finish with black licorice, more red fruit and hints of black tea. Ruby Red, Garnet in color, bright clarity – medium bodied.
2015 Riviera Pinot Noir
Garnet, medium bodied, classic Sonoma County Pinot Noir with aromatics of fresh light red fruits (cherries and strawberries) leaping out of the glass, backed up with baking spices and hints of fresh-picked mushrooms and black tea. Flavors of sweet raspberries and cherries combine with anise, sweet oak and white pepper. A pleasant wine to drink from start to finish – great mouth feel balanced with acidity and soft tannins which provide for a long, silky finish.
2015 Alphabets Pinot Noir
This Oregon styled Pinot Noir leads off on the nose with a fresh scent of boysenberries and strawberries that swirl together with a hint of white pepper, bay leaves, pine sap, and nettles. The palate delivers a flavor of tart cherries mixed with cranberries that lay on a bed of mushrooms, black pepper, and oyster sauce. This intricate flavor finishes with dusty tannin and bright acid. The wine is red violet in color.

We want to fill you in on some exciting Pali projects for the upcoming year. One of our biggest announcements is that we are opening a new tasting room in Anaheim, California! Only a short drive away from Disneyland, our new Anaheim tasting room will be located across the street from the iconic Anaheim Packing House. This tasting room will include a variety of features already in place at the other tasting rooms . It has a modern, and clean look, designed with sustainability in mind and also features an outdoor patio. Other features of the tasting room that are universal at all Pali Wine Co. tasting rooms include wine on tap for growlers, small plates, live music, and wine club member pick up parties.
Another unique attribute of our Anaheim tasting room is that it will also function as a winery. We will be making small quantities of wine on the premises, and these wines, made in only very small quantities, will only be available in our Anaheim tasting room. As a part of the “Make” facility in Anaheim, all of the businesses produce some or all of their products on site. Our neighbors will be a brewery and a distillery.
Further South in California, our San Diego tasting room is nearly finished with all of its final touches! The upstairs and outdoor patios are being furnished with gas heating units to keep patrons warm and cozy during the colder winter months. We will also be having a special event at our San Diego Tasting Room coming up at the end of January featuring our Winemaker, Aaron Walker, where he will speak on the nuances and attributes of Pali Wines. Details to follow via email.
Finally, to kick off the New Year we will soon be releasing our 2015 vintage wines. These wines, including the 2015 Huntington Pinot Noir, 2015 Riviera Pinot Noir, 2015 Tower15 White Cap, and our 2015 Tower15 Dornfelder, will be available for purchase in the tasting rooms and online soon.
The grand opening of our Pali Wine Co. San Diego tasting room was a great success. After a few weeks of a soft open, we invited our San Diego customers and club members as well as friends and family to an opening party on Novemeber 6th, marking our official opening.
With four wines on tap and all other Pali and Tower 15 wines available by the bottle, our guests enjoyed a few leisurely hours of great service, conversation, and of course, Pali Wine Co.’s finest selection of wines.
The promise of “Fine Wines & Good Times” was fulfilled.
Throughout the grand opening, the tasting room hosted upwards of 200 guests cycling in and out of the ground level tasting room, back room, and upstairs patio. The guests were also treated to a selection of charcuterie boards and small cheese plates to compliment the complex flavors of Pali Wines available. The upstairs patio also featured live music by Heather Nation, who preformed a selection of original pieces and popular covers.
As twilight faded and the sun began to set, the tasting room shifted from a private party to regular tasting room hours. Local guests and remaining party goers enjoyed the tasting room.
Check out what our guests had to say:
“Excellent wines, great staff -- Will definitely be a frequent customer.”
“We had a very nice time at the grand opening event and can’t wait to be regular customers! All of the wines were delicious!”
“Love the clean and modern feel of this tasting room. Located in the heart of Little Italy, this place is great for pre-dinner or a sophisticated night out. The staff are so friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating! You have to try this place out next time you’re in the neighborhood.”
Pali Wine Co.’s San Diego tasting room is open seven days a week.
