This past weekend marked the grand opening of our latest tasting room, located in the historic Packing House District in Downtown Anaheim. The fun began at 6pm on Friday, with a private party for our wine club members, mailing list customers, and social media followers with tastings of our newest released wines, live music, small plates and a special blind tasting challenge.
On Saturday we opened up to the public and kept the fine wine and good times rolling. At 4pm, a ribbon cutting ceremony and Managing Partner Tim Perr was joined by Jamie Crawford (Grandson of Thomas Crawford of the 1917 Crawford Marmalade Factory), Anaheim City Councilmember Jose Moreno, Anaheim Mayor Tom Tait, and owner of The LAB and Anaheim Packing District Shaheen Sadeghi.
The rest of the evening was spent in celebration, and with the doors open, people continued to flow in to taste our wines and enjoy the atmosphere.
We also held raffles and contests throughout the weekend for prizes such as t-shirts, bottles of wine, and growlers filled with the winners’ choice of our selection of tap wines.
Besides being our newest tasting room, the Anaheim location will also feature a production facility allowing us to produce wines we serve on location, bringing the wine straight from the barrel to your glass. In addition, we will be serving our premium Central Coast wines by the glass from your favorite bottle or from our wines on tap. Wine will also be available for purchase to take home by the bottle, and our kitchen will be serving up hot food to pair with our wines.
We’ve got a lot planned for our Anaheim location with more events, live music, and surprises coming your way. Make sure to join our mailing list and follow us on Facebook here to stay in the loop!

On March 12th, 2017, our San Diego tasting room held its very first wine blending party hosted by our winemaker, Aaron Walker. For this event, Aaron brought the five single varietal wines that are used in the production of red Bordeaux blends, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Malbec so that participants could mix and match their own personalized Pali Bordeaux blends.
Bordeaux wines were originated in Bordeaux, France, but due its popularity, Bordeaux varietals have been planted in wine regions across the world. Our Tower 15 "The Swell" label includes our take on this classic blend, The Swell, and our most recent vintage consists of 26% Merlot, 24% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Malbec, 18% Petit Verdot and 9% Cabernet Franc.
Attendees were given the opportunity to create their own versions of Bordeaux by using beakers to measure out precise volumes of each varietal. To ensure that our guests were well equipped for this task, many wines were tasted to understand the flavor profiles of each grape.
During the party, Aaron walked around the room to answer questions and to provide insight into the winemaking process while everyone enjoyed small plates and conversation.
The party was a fun time for all, and at the end of the night our guests took home a growler of their creations. We hope to hold another blending party soon, so stay tuned for more information, and in the meantime, let us know which grapes you would like us to blend next!

"We are so excited to bring the Central Coast down to San Diego! Our wines feature some of the most sought after grapes of the Central Coast, and along with our artisan cheeseboards, San Diego is in for a treat." - Margeaux Harris.
As the opening of our San Diego wine tasting room quickly approaches, we are more excited than ever to open the doors in Little Italy of our newest location. With so many things to do in San Diego, we feel that our Winery will be the perfect addition to the bustling atmosphere of Little Italy.
In similar fashion to our tasting rooms in Lompoc and Santa Barbara, we will be showcasing our two labels, Pali and Tower 15 with distinct tasting flights and wine by the glass. This new location however will feature a tasting menu designed by Food & Events Manager, Lisa Lungstrum, who is thrilled to share her new menu with the city:
“We can't wait for San Diego to experience our new tasting room in Little Italy. Between the line up of delicious wines, the beautiful rooftop deck and our creative food menu, you are in for a wonderful experience and we look forward to seeing you.” - Lisa Lungstrum, Food & Events Manager.
Our team has been hard at work putting the final touches together for our opening, and the results are looking fantastic. With indoor and outdoor seating, customers can enjoy wine at the bar or upstairs on our beautiful rooftop deck overlooking the streets of Little Italy.
The Tasting Room is set to open next week, and we can't wait to bring our handcrafted wines to San Diego. For more information on our Tasting Rooms, please sign up for our mailing list.
Thanks for drinking Pali and we hope to see you very soon!
