Due to high temperatures during the Summer months, all orders will be shipped using cold pack shippers to ensure that wines are not damaged while in transit. These shippers require a minimum of 4 bottles per shipment and we will only be able to ship orders that meet this requirement. Any orders less than 4 bottles will be held until they are safe to ship.
The fruit for this white Rhone blend is sourced from four vineyards. The Grenache Blanc fruit hails from Jack McGinley in Happy Canyon of Santa Barbara and Morro View Vineyards in San Luis Obispo County. The Marsanne and Roussanne come from Camp 4 Vineyard in Santa Ynez Valley. The fourth varietal, Viognier, is from Jorian Hill Vineyard in Ballard Canyon. The wine is fermented in a combination of stainless steel and neutral oak barrels. Aged for 5 months in 100% neutral French oak.
This wine is crafted from premium Pinot Grigio grapes grown at Sierra Madre Vineyard, located on the western edge of the Santa Maria Valley AVA. The fruit from this cool-climate vineyard benefits from the wind and fog off the Pacific Ocean and results in a wine that is crisp and fresh. Made in limited quantities, this reserve wine was fermented and barrel-aged in neutral French oak, which provides a touch of richness without the oaky flavors. Bottled in January 2018.
The grapes for this wine hail from Morro View Vineyard within San Luis Obispo County. This vineyard is cultivated with great pride, using farming fundamentals that result in premium wine rich in varietal character and terroir. Our Grenache Blanc is barrel-fermented and barrel-aged in 100% neutral French oak barrels for six months. Bottled in April 2018.
On the nose, tropical and stone fruits, white peaches, kumquats, red apples paired with honey, jasmine and wet earth/gravel. The palate gives more tropical fruits of banana and pineapple along with white peach, lemon peel, and fresh sage. Background flavors of lemon grass, mustard seed, and fresh cut lawn. A slightly creamy mouth feel is balanced with a core of tart acid that cuts through from start to finish.
The grapes for this wine are sourced from Lieff Ranch Vineyard in the San Luis Obispo County AVA. The vineyard is located along a very remote, pristine canyon with a unique volcanic soil type that is well-suited to the Sauvignon Blanc varietal. The wine is fermented and aged in stainless steel barrels and bottled in January 2018.
This wine is crafted from premium Sauvignon Blanc grapes grown on Rufugio Ranch Vineyard in the Santa Ynez Valley. The wine, made in very limited quantities, was barrel-fermented and barrel-aged in 92% neutral French oak and 8% new Acacia wood for six months. Bottled in April 2018.
This wine is crafted from premium Pinot Grigio grapes grown at Spanish Springs Vineyard in San Luis Obispo County. The wine was fermented and aged in a combination of neutral oak and stainless steel barrels and bottled in January 2018. The cool-climate growing conditions associated with this vineyard create a light and refreshing wine packed with acidity.
Nose shows candied fruits, dried apricots, fresh kiwi, dried herbs and fresh-mowed lawn. Palate shows round and full in the mouth. Peaches and honey leap forward, mingling with marcona almonds, oregano, sea salt and quince.
The nose presents beautiful aromatics of honey, orange blossom, Asian pear, lemon curd. Crisp and dry on the palate, yet mouth-coating and lingering with lime zest, vanilla bean, and a chalky quality. Finishes with bright acid and lively minerality.
Beautiful aromatics of fresh white stone fruits- peaches and apricots followed by secondary tropical fruit notes of guava, pineapple, and banana. Bright and playful on the palate with fruit flavors from start to finish. Fresh grass and minerality combine with the tropical and citrus fruits, finishing with a cleansing acidity and slight notes of dried herbs.
