Summer is here just in time for the release of a variety of 2018 vintage white and rosé wines under both our Pali and Tower 15 labels! These wines range from full-bodied whites to the more lean, crisp, and delicate variety. To satisfy our red wine enthusiasts, our winemaker has hand-selected a few lighter-bodied red wines to add to our “Summer Selections” list.
This Rosé, grown on our Pali Estate Vineyard in the Sta. Rita Hills appellation is made from 100% whole-cluster pressed, clone 777, Pinot Noir grapes. Planted in 2012, this 50-acre vineyard is located in Gypsy Canyon along the Hwy 246 Corridor and sits on a gentle, South-facing slope comprised mostly of sandy soils. These terroir characteristics, combined with cool temperatures, create excellent growing conditions for Pinot Noir. This wine is barrel-fermented and barrel-aged in 100% neutral French oak and bottled in April 2019.
The P.C.H Rosé is named for the scenic Pacific Coast Highway that runs along much of the California coastline, the perfect spot to sip our dry, crisp style of Central Coast Rosé of Pinot Noir. This rosé is made from a combination of whole-cluster pressed Pinot Noir grapes and blended with ten barrels of saignée made from premium Pinot Noir vineyards. This wine was barrel-aged entirely in neutral oak for four months and then bottled in February 2019.
It's that beautiful time of day again,
the sun is getting low.
The sky is beautiful and pink,
it's the special sunset glow.
The breeze is gentle, the sunlight kind,
the ocean sparkles, the sands devine.
A refreshing glass of lovely pink wine,
to enjoy in this moment is truly sublime.
I'm made with Old World red wine grapes,
inspired by Provence in France.
My aromas, color and tasting notes,
together choreograph the perfect dance.
